There is a really pretty snow cover out on the grounds of the Maine Forest and Logging Museum, located off the Government Road off Rte. 178 in Bradley. Unfortunately, it is covering a serious amount of ice.
Powder in ruts of ice make for very difficult conditions for walking or pulling a sled. The ice storm crust is still lingering in the woods, so the trails are still not in condition to be able to offer sled rides. For safety, there is a sign closing the grounds at the moment due to the ice on the roadway and trails down on the grounds. The museum is aiming for Feb. 2 to try again to have sled rides. Please call 944-2999 for updates.
