A headline and story on Thursday’s business page should have said Maine businesses hurt financially by the ice storm at the end of December may have access to loan assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration. First, the state must certify that at least five small business concerns in a county affected by the disaster have suffered substantial economic injury as a result of the disaster and are in need of financial assistance not otherwise available on reasonable terms. To do that, the state is asking businesses meeting that criteria to contact Maine Emergency Management Agency Individual Assistance Officer Richard Higgins at [email protected] and fill out a worksheet. It was an editing error.
