FARMINGTON — A Strong man was issued a summons on a charge of failing to yield the right of way following a collision on Route 2/Wilton Road on Saturday.

Frank Anderson, 88, was driving a 2013 Toyota Tundra pickup west at about 10 a.m. when he attempted a left turn into Splash and Dash car wash.

A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt sedan driven by Amy Reed, 22, of Freeman Township was in the opposite lane near Cushing Motor Sports and tried to stop to avoid hitting Anderson, according to Farmington police officer Michael Raymond’s report. Reed’s car struck the passenger side of Anderson’s truck, causing significant damage to the Tundra, Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police secretary read from the report.

Reed was checked at the scene by NorthStar emergency personnel for minor injuries, including a possible head injury. She was not transported to the hospital.

Both vehicles were towed. Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue helped at the scene.
