MONMOUTH — Kelly Pomerleau had a game-high 17 points as she hit 13 free throws in St. Dom’s 32-22 victory over Monmouth Academy in girls’ basketball.
Teammates Ckoe and Alexis Dwinell each had six points in the victory.
Monmouth’s leading scorer was Kylie Kemp who had eight points.
St. Dom’s improves to 14-3, while Monmouth is now 10-7 on the season.
Oak Hill 62, Hall Dale 39
WALES — The Oak Hill Raiders cruised to victory in girls’ basketball with the 62-39 victory over Hall-Dale.
Brianna Mulherin led Oak Hill with 16 points, with teammate Megan Crosby chipping in 10 points. The win improves the Raiders’ record to 13-4 on the season.
For Hall-Dale Allison Crockett had 13 points in the losing effort. Hall-Dale drops to 9-7.
Winslow 45, Leavitt 26
TURNER — Heather Kervin had 12 points in Winslow’s 45-26 victory over Leavitt in girls’ basketball Thursday night. Hayley Pottle had 11 points in the Black Raiders’ win.
Chantel Eells led the Leavitt Hornets with 10 points in the loss. Meagan Dow and Allie Belaire each had five points for the Leavitt Hornets.
Winslow improves its record to 13-4 while Leavitt is now 6-10 on the season.
Spruce Mountain 48, Mountain Valley 23
JAY — Emily Keene scored scored 10 points and Vanese Barnes had six steals and three assists as Spruce Mountain rolled over Mountain Valley 48-23 in a girls’ basketball game Thursday.
The Phoenix (16-0) built a 22-8 lead by halftime. Sam Richards pulled down nine rebounds for Spruce.
For the Falcons (5-12), Karen Flaherty scored eight points.
Greenville 46, Buckfield 37
GREENVILLE — Courtney Mann dropped in 14 points and Ashley Mace had 11 points in Greenville’s 46-37 win over Buckfield in girls’ basketball action Thursday night.
Naudia Wesley had seven buckets for a total of 14 points to lead Buckfield in scoring.
The win for Greenville improves its record to 3-14 while Buckfield is now 2-16.
Dirigo 55, Telstar 28
BETHEL — Jess Conant piled up 19 points and Kelsey Hutchins lent a helping hand with 17 as Dirigo ditched Telstar 55-28 in a girls’ basketball game.
The Cougars (11-6) jumped out to a 33-9 lead by halftime.
For Telstar (2-13), Casey Blaszczak scored eight points.
Wells 59, Poland 49
WELLS — Allison Furness dropped in 11 points and teammate Jordan Agger had 10 as the Wells Warriors improve to 14-2 on the season with the 59-49 win over Poland in girls’ basketball.
Emily Bolduc led all scorers with 29 points for the Poland Knights (9-7). Sister Sarah Bolduc had 15 points.
Boys’ basketball
Greenville 62, Buckfield 48
GREENVILLE — Howie Stone threw in 23 points, Matt Biangelo added 17 and Michael Degnan helped out with 11 as Greenville overpowered Buckfield 62-48 in a boys’ basketball game Thursday.
Greenville (10-2) hopped out to a 33-18 by halftime. The Bucks tried to climb back into the game in the fourth quarter with a 23-point outburst, but it wasn’t enough.
For the Bucks (4-11), Jared Eastman scored 17 points and Jake Kraske dropped another 12.
Men’s basketball
Virginia Lynchb. 93, CMCC 76
AUBURN — A talented Virginia Lynchburg picked apart Central Maine Community College’s press to roll to a 93-76 contest in a men’s basketball game Thursday.
Virginia handled all the pressure thrown at them. CM fell behind 24-16 in the early going and was able to keep the game in check for most of the first half.
Virginia went on a 14-2 run to end the half and entered the locker room with a 51-35 advantage. CM had its chance with about seven minutes remaining and a chance to cut the lead to 12 points, but a steal resulting in a layup changed tempo and put CM back on its heels.
Kazre Cummings led CM with 14 points, followed by Timmy Flanagan and Louis Medina adding 13 points. CM falls to 19-1 on the season.
