AUBURN — Auburn City Council workshop, 5:30 p.m. in Auburn City Hall. Councilors are scheduled to review budgets for public services, recreation, city utilities and hear a report from the City Assessor.
AUBURN — American Music film series, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Museum L/A and Auburn Public Library presents documentary on types of American music, followed by discussion led by Dale Chapman of Bates College, Auburn Public Library.
TUESDAY, March 25
LEWISTON — Lewiston City Council special meeting and workshop. Special meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Topics include rescinding a bond issue for storm drains and work projects and other bond-issue items. Workshop follows the special meeting to review the City Manager’s proposed 2014-15 budget.
WEDNESDAY, March 26
AUBURN — School Committee, budget meeting, 5:30 p.m., Auburn Hall, public input welcome. Workshop centered on feedback from March 19 and 20 budget meetings.
LEWISTON — Writer Denis Ledoux talks about his latest book, “We Were Not Spoiled: a Franco-American Memoir,” 6:30 p.m. Lewiston Public Library, Callahan Hall. The book chronicles the life of a Maine girl from 1921-1951, typical of many Francos of her generation, raised in a small industrial city.
