HARRISON — A single-vehicle crash on Naples Road that killed a Raymond woman was discovered Wednesday morning.
Sabrina B. Titus, 28, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer northbound on Naples Road when the vehicle apparently struck a frost heave and left the right side of the road just north of the Carsley Road intersection, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
The SUV struck a snowbank and went airborne before hitting a rock wall. It continued rolling onto the driver’s side and struck a tree with its roof.
At about 6:37 a.m., a passing motorist notified authorities of the vehicle, which came to rest in the yard of 510 Naples Road.
Local fire and rescue services responded. Titus was pronounced dead at the scene. No passengers were in the vehicle.
Residents of the home at 510 Naples Road reported hearing a loud crash at 9 p.m. Tuesday and went outside to investigate but didn’t see anything, they told a sheriff’s deputy.
The crash remained under investigation by deputies and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Team.
