INDIAN STREAM TOWNSHIP (AP) — Police say a Rhode Island man was killed and a Maine man seriously injured when a garage roof weighed down by four feet of snow collapsed on them in rural Maine.
Dale Lancaster, chief deputy for the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department, identified the victim in Friday’s collapse in Indian Stream Township as 58-year-old Addison Yeaw of Scituate, R.I.
Fifty-two-year-old Glen Coulson of West Forks was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials told the Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1hbAFNq ) the men were at a campground and small housing complex for workers owned by Brookfield Renewable Energy Group of Canada.
Yeaw’s wife is employed by Brookfield at the gatehouse and campground office and the couple comes and goes during the winter, living at one of the units.
