After teasing us with a nice warm spring day Monday, Mother Nature followed up Tuesday with heavy rain – topped off with snow at the end – that sent the Androscoggin River over its banks in Bethel on Wednesday morning. Here, a truck plows through water by Davis Park at 7 a.m. At the same time an MDOT crew put up a sign saying the area of road was closed except to local traffic.  Later in the day the water receded and traffic returned to normal.
