Promising newcomers: Junior — Noah Bates (IF); Sophomores — Jeriah Kasey (DH/3B), Tommy Small (C/3B), Nick Sanborn (OF/P); Freshman — Hunter Richardson (IF).

Season outlook: High expectations greet the Mustangs this season as they will be one of the favorites in the MVC. Pitching will be their strength. They have a deep and talented pitching staff with plenty of options for Palleschi. The defense improved dramatically last year, although replacing Cummings behind the plate will be key. Fletcher and Curtis were MVC all-stars last year.
