FARMINGTON — Police say there were no injuries but both vehicles were destroyed in a noon accident Tuesday on Wilton Road.

A Wilton driver, Margaret Lumbra, 34, was attempting a turn out of the Franklin Somerset Federal Credit Union lot on to Route 2, also known as Wilton Road, Farmington police officer Derrick Doucette said. She was driving a white 1999 Toyota.

She didn’t see the 2001 green Buick already on the road heading towards Wilton and crashed into the side of the car, he said.

The Buick was driven by Jessi Briscoe, 32, of New Sharon. Briscoe had a passenger, Lucas Griffin, 32, of Augusta.

NorthStar ambulance responded and both vehicles’ occupants were checked at the scene.  Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue helped clear the roadway and direct traffic.

Farmington Towing hauled away both cars.
