BRUNSWICK (AP) — Authorities say two dogs have died in a two-alarm fire that destroyed a Brunswick home, but no humans were home at the time.
The fire at a home on Route 24 was reported just after 5 p.m. Tuesday by a passer-by.
The home was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived and the first-floor eventually collapsed into the basement while the roof also collapsed.
Fire Chief Ken Brillant said the cause remains under investigation but it does not appear suspicious.
Fire crews from Topsham, West Bath and Freeport helped out.
