HAMPDEN — Molly Murray got it done both at the plate and on the rubber in Edward Little’s 3-2 victory over Hampden Academy in softball action Saturday afternoon.

She had a double and picked up the win as she came in the fifth to pitch. Sarah Hammond went deep for Edward Little. Hannah Farrington also had a double for the Red Eddies (2-2).

The Hampden Broncos (3-1) offensive efforts were led by Abby Lord and Rilee Walker who each had a double.

Mountain Valley 9, Mt. Abram 6

RUMFORD — Pitcher Lindsay Marston went the distance and had two doubles, and teamates Aly Caron and Karissa Murphy each had two hits as Mountain Valley slipped away with a 9-6 victory over Mt. Abram in a softball game Saturday.

Marston struck out six batters catcher Katie Collette doubled.

For Mt. Abram, Jacey Davenport had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs.

RUMFORD — Tristan Dyer and Seth Thomas each had two hits and Mt. Abram (1-2) used nine hits to subdue Mountain Valley with a 6-4 victory in an eight-inning baseball game Saturday.

Tucker Rowland had two hits for the winless Falcons (0-5).
