AUBURN — Calvin Bureau scored two goals and Edward Little shut out Windham (2-7) in the second half as the Red Eddies moved on with a 9-4 victory over the Eagles in a boys’ lacrosse game Thursday.

The score was tied at 4 when EL reeled off five goals in the second half. Ethan Nadeau, Matt Adams, Henry Nguyen, Matt Verrill, Cam Cormier and Ian Mileikis each scored a goal for the Eddies (4-6).

Lewiston 6, Biddeford 4

LEWISTON — The Lewiston boys’ lacrosse team had a balanced goal scoring attack in the 6-4 victory over Biddeford High School on Thursday.

Quintarian Brown, Alex Mills, Roman Dennis and Riley Bolduc each had a goal in the victory.

Zack Paquette and Bryan Waggs each saw time in goal for the Blue Devils combining to make ten saves.

Lewiston improves to 3-5 while Biddeford drops to 3-6 on the season.

Girls’ lacrosse

Brunswick 14, EL 1

BRUNSWICK — Sydney Anderson punched in three goals and Sasha Hampton added another two as Brunswick (4-3) dispatched Edward Little (0-7) with a 14-1 victory in a girls’ lacrosse game Thursday.

The Dragons (4-3) jumped out to a 9-1 lead at the half. For the Red Eddies, Fran Haines scored four goals and Danielle Gagne added one and earned an assist.

Cony 7, Lewiston 6

AUGUSTA — The Cony Rams held off a Lewiston Blue Devils late rally to hold on to a 7-6 victory in girls’ lacrosse action.

Bailey Logan had four goals for the Rams while Emily Quirion scored the game winner with three minutes left in the contest.

For Lewiston Jess Cote had hat trick goals and Laurianne Murphy had a goal and two assists for the Blue Devils. Sam Cote had 12 saves for the Devils as they drop to 5-3, while the Rams are 6-2.

Softball

Hall-Dale 3, Mountain Valley 2

FARMINGDALE — Hall-Dale scored once in the sixth and twice in the seventh to overtake the Mountain Valley Falcons 3-2 in softball action Thursday.

The Falcons (8-4) scored twice in the third and were led offensively by Aly Carlton and Karissa Murphy who both had doubles in the losing effort.

Kayla Johnson had two hits for Hall-Dale (10-2) in the victory.

Baseball

Hall-Dale 10, Mountain Valley 0

FARMINDALE — Brian Allen struck out six batters, throwing a one-hit, 10-0 victory against Mountain Valley in a baseball game Thursday.

The Bulldogs (6-5) erupted with seven runs in the first inning and used a six-hit attack to subdue the Falcons (2-10). Nick Newman had the lone hit for Mountain Valley.

Richmond 3, Buckfield 2

RICHMOND — Brenden Emmons went the distance on the mound and Mike Stewart had three hits as Richmond shook off Buckfield (4-4) with a 3-2 victory in a baseball game Thursday.

The Bobcats (6-1) got the go-ahead run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly.

Buckfield pitcher Jonah Williams also stood his ground, striking out 11 batters and limiting Richmond to five hits.

Catcher Jared Eastman had two hits for the Bucks.
