TURNER — Leavitt used a 15-hit attack and Kaitlyn Deblois smashed a two-run homer as Leavitt rolled over Morse with a 13-0 win in a softball game Wednesday.

The Hornets (7-4) reeled off six runs in the first inning and erupted with another four in a five-inning game shortened by the mercy rule. Abby Robertson pitched the three-hit shutout, striking out four.

Angela Daigle doubled twice for Leavitt and Emily Perkins doubled, tripled and had a single.

EL 5, Oxford Hills 3

AUBURN — Edward Little erupted with four runs in the sixth inning and Kory Norcross hammered out three hits, including a triple and a double, as Edward Little (8-3) shook off Oxford Hills with a 5-3 victory in a KVAC softball game Wednesday.

Pitcher Molly Murray went the distance and got the win. Danielle Rock and Hannah Smith each had two hits. Shannon Fillebrown had two hits for Oxford Hills (7-3).

Hall-Dale 3, Lisbon 2

LISBON — Hall-Dale scattered five hits and scored a run on a wild pitch to edge Lisbon 3-2 in MVC softball Wednesday.

Kayla Johnson and Megan Levasseur each recorded an RBI to go along with a single apiece for the Bulldogs.

Monica Austin and Kailyn Hill collected a pair of hits each for the Greyhounds, who stranded eight runners.

Spruce Mountain 15, St. Dom’s 6

JAY — LaDesta Tracy rapped a pair of doubles and a triple in a 4-for-4 performace as the Phoenix pounded out 15 hits in a 15-6 rout over St. Dom’s in MVC softball Wednesday.

Laure Freitas recorded the lone hit for the Saints, a single.

Alex Bessey, Emily Keene, Patty Ryan and Amber Delaney collected two hits each for the Phoenix.

Keene recorded the win on the mound, going six innings and giving up only one hit while walking six and striking out four.

Dirigo 10, Monmouth 5

DIXFIELD — Megan Bradbury went 4-for-4 at the plate, sparking Dirigo to a 10-5 victory over Monmouth in softball action Wednesday.

The Cougars hammered Monmouth pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, seven RBIs and nine runs scored.

Emma Lueders triggered three hits, while four other players posted two hits apiece for Dirigo.

Kylie Kemp also was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 for Monmouth.

Cape Elizabeth 2, Poland 0

CAPE ELIZABETH — Katie Rabasca pitched five shutout innings to earn the mound win as Cape Elizabeth secured a 2-0 WMC softball victory.

Michaela Pinette roped a two-run single in the first for the Capers, and Cape Elizabeth never trailed from that point. Kylie Martin pitched well for the Knights.

Cony 13, Lewiston 0

LEWISTON — Arika Brochu hurled five perfect innings and received ample run support as Cony ran rampant over Lewiston, 13-0, in a KVAC softball matchup Wednesday.

Maggie Russell led the Rams (11-1) with a thre-run home run in the second frame. Sydney Cheever chipped in with a pair of hits.

The Blue Devils (1-10) utilized pitcher Makayla Girouard in all five innings.

Baseball

Oak Hill 15, Telstar 0

BETHEL — Dalton Therrien belted two doubles and three Oak Hill pitchers combined on a one-hitter Wednesday in a 15-0 MVC baseball win over Telstar.

Matt Arnold, Adam Merrill and Matt Clifford shared the mound duties for the Raiders (9-3). Brady Dion also was a repeat hitter.

Chris Chappie’s double was the lone hit for the Rebels (1-9).

St. Dom’s 8, Spruce Mountain 1

JAY — Mitch Lorenz hurled scattered three hits in seven innings and drew all kinds of run support, as St. Dom’s handily defeated Spruce Mountain, 8-1, in an MVC baseball tilt.

Caleb Dostie led the Saints (11-1) with three hits and three RBIs. The Saints trailed by one until they erupted for six runs in the final stanza.

Cony 6, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON — Mitchell Bonenfant scattered three hits over the seven-inning route Wednesday as Cony hustled to a 6-1 victory over Lewiston in a KVAC baseball tilt.

Bonenfant helped his cause with a three-run triple in the second inning.

Eddie Emerson went the distance for Lewiston (6-5) with six hits allowed.

Greely 10, Gray-New Gloucester 0

GREELY — Alex McAdoo scattered three hits in six innings of work, and Greely took a casual stroll to a 10-0 rout over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC baseball.

Will Bryant led Greely with a timely home run in the fourth frame. Bryant also belted a bases-loaded ground rule double to lead his squad’s offensive effort.

Brandon Hubbard worked all six innings for the Patriots (7-5), giving up 12 hits in the contest.

Morse 11, Leavitt 1

TURNER —  Zack Holbrook hurled six innings of solid ball Wednesday as Morse overpowered Leavitt, 11-1, in KVAC baseball.

Trenton Moore went 5-for-5 and drove in three runs to lead the Shipbuilders. Nate Coombs led the Hornets with a pair of hits, while Mitchel Davis drove in the team’s lone run with a double.
