During the summer months RSU 26 is partnering with the Orono Parks and Recreation program.

The Parks and Rec program uses the schools as a home base to offer activities and programs for the young people in the Orono community. Families should contact Rec Director Bob Sinclair at [email protected] for more details and to register their children.

The following spaces and fields will be used by Parks and Rec during the summer of 2014.

June 23-Aug 15 2-3, two-three classrooms at Orono Middle School, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.: Orono Rec Day camp.

June 23-June 27, OMS and OHS football practice fields 5-7 p.m.: Eastern Maine Football Academy

June 16-July 31, OHS softball field 6-8 p.m.: Adult Softball League

June 16-July 28 (Mondays and Wednesdays), OHS Track 6-8 p.m.: Youth Track/Field

July 28-Aug 1, JV Soccer field 8-noon Golf Clinic

June 23-June 26, Asa Adams gym 9 a.m. 3 p.m. (Monday-Thursday): Stix Field Hockey

June 23-27, OHS/OMS gyms 8 a.m.-4 p.m.: Orono Basketball School (Girls)

June 30-July3, OHS/OMS Gyms 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Orono Basketball School (Boys)
