FARMINGTON — The people who found a lawn mower in the road near Madore’s Market on Monday returned it to the owner Wednesday, Farmington police Sgt. Edward Hastings IV said Thursday.
On Tuesday, police asked for the public’s help in finding a Husqvarna push mower that fell out of James McEntee’s truck at his home on Temple Road near Madore’s Market in West Farmington.
McEntee said he left his house at about 11:15 a.m. Monday and realized later that the mower wasn’t in the back of the truck. It apparently rolled out and landed at the end of his driveway. He returned to his home but someone had picked it up within 5 minutes, he said.
After local media printed a request for help in locating the mower, the mower was returned about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Hastings said.
McEntee thought it would have cost about $600 to replace the mower, Hastings said.
