AUGUSTA —   Emma Fitzgerald and Kayla Johnson scattered three hits each as Skowhegan trekked to a 6-2 victory over Oxford Hills in the KVAC softball championship Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings (12-5) scored a run in each of the first and third innings for a 2-0 lead, going into the sixth inning. Anna Winslow roped a triple along the way.

The Indians (13-4) rallied for six runs in the bottom of the sixth, and held on for the 6-2 win. Fitzgerald had a double, while McKayla Toth contributed a pair of singles for Skowhegan.

Pitcher Kaitlyn Therriault earned the mound win, while Crystal West suffered the loss.
