Poland Spring Water Co.’s bottling plant and its employees have made two significant financial donations and worked in the community in the past month. In May, the company made an $8,000 contribution that paid for installation of 21 new windows at the Poland Community Food Bank. About 50 company employees and their families also held a weekend cleanup event at the food bank, painting, cleaning and landscaping. Poland Spring Plant Manager Chris McKenna, left, and Operations Resource Manager Don Hulke bag leaves at the food bank. Poland Spring also recently awarded a $1,000 good neighbor grant to the Manna Backpack Program. The program provides food to 50 families every two weeks, sent via school students, to help feed them on weekends.
