FARMINGTON — Attorney Edward David, formally a principal at Joyce, David & Hanstein, P.A., is announcing the formation of a new law practice to be called Farmington Family Law, P.A.

The firm will remain at 107 Main St., but with a new telephone number of 778-3515.

The practice will deal exclusively in the area of family law, which includes parental rights, divorce, modification proceedings, guardianship, adoption and protective custody proceedings.

David has served several terms as chairman of the family law section of the Maine Bar and is a frequent presenter at legal education workshops. He is in his second term on the Family Law Advisory Commission, which both writes family law statutes and advises the Judiciary Committee on bills submitted to the legislature having to do with family law.

David recently completed formal training as a mediator. Farmington Family Law, P.A. will offer alternative dispute resolution services such as mediation, neutral evaluation, or acceptance of appointment as a referee.
