ATLANTA — Ryan Turner, an Auburn native, was recently selected as Business Person of the Year by the Greater Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.

Turner, a graduate of Edward Little High School in 1990, was selected in the “experienced” category, which involves companies that have been in business for more than seven years. He is a partner and chief executive officer of the Unsukay Community of Businesses, which includes three restaurants and a lounge, all in the greater metropolitan area of Atlanta.

Turner has also been the driving force behind the creation of The Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides crisis grants to employees within the hospitality industry of Atlanta who face unanticipated hardships.

He lives in Smyrna, Ga., with his wife and children. He is the son of John and Sue Turner of Auburn.
