FARMINGTON — Crews will pave 68.36 miles of road in Western Maine beginning Monday, according to a news release from the Maine Department of Transportation.
The towns and locations are as follows:
Chesterville: 9.35 miles from the Chesterville/Fayette town line northerly to the intersection of Lucy Knowles Road and Pope Road.
Fayette: 2.05 miles from the intersection of Campground Road and Chesterville Ridge Road northerly to the Chesterville/Fayette town line.
Farmington: 2.16 miles from Knowlton Corner Road and Seamon Road northerly to the Farmington Urban Compact line.
Farmington: 3.27 miles from the intersection of Knowlton Corner Road and Lucy Knowles Road northerly to the intersection of Webster Road and Knowlton Corner Road.
Temple-Farmington: 4.12 miles from the intersection of Cummings Hill Road and Route 43 easterly 4.12 miles to Farmington Urban Compact line.
Farmington: 2.84 miles beginning on the Farmington Urban Compact line northerly to the intersection of the Town Farm Road and Route 4.
Farmington-Industry-Starks-Anson: 19.53 miles from the Urban Compact line near Perham Street easterly to the intersection of Anson/Madison Bridge and Main Street in Anson.
New Sharon-Starks: 8.42 miles from the junction of Route 2 and Route 134 northerly to the junction of Route 43 and Route 134 in Starks.
New Sharon: 3.89 miles from the intersection of Route 41 (Vienna Road and Cape Cod Hill Road) to the intersection of Route 2 (Mercer Road and Cape Cod Hill Road).
Industry-Starks-Anson: 11.29 miles from the junction of Route 43 and Route 148 in Industry proceeding easterly to the junction of Route 148 and Route 43 in Anson.
Madison: 1.44 miles beginning at the intersection of Route 43 (Maine Street and Old Point Avenue) proceeding easterly to a point 0.60 miles off the intersection of Route 43 and East Houghton Street.
Motorists are advised to use caution with alternating one-way traffic through the work zones.
While dependent on weather, it is anticipated all work will be completed during the first week of September.
This $2.7 million project will be performed by Pike Industries Inc. of Fairfield.
