NORWAY — The Norway Historical Society will present “Ice Harvesting on Norway Lake; the Frozen Water Trade” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15.

It will be held at the society’s headquarters at 471 Main St.

Ice harvesting began in Norway in the late 1800s and continued until the mid-1950s. The program will feature original film footage and include photos and tools used in the harvesting.

Peter Hammond, a longtime Norway resident, will make the presentation. He is a retired educator, past president of the society and a volunteer there.
