The Old Town Police Department will be participating in the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign that takes place August 13 through September 1. During that time the department will have extra officers on patrol looking for drunk drivers and a sobriety checkpoint roadblock will be conducted on Saturday August 30.

The costs for the extra patrols and the roadblock are all being paid for with grant money from the Bureau of Highway Safety.
