RANGELEY — Police are investigating who is responsible for taking four golf carts from a garage at Mingo Springs Golf Course and driving them around the course.

The burglary was reported Sunday morning. A garage door was opened and keys to golf carts were taken, police Chief Dennis Leahy said Monday. The carts were ridden around the course and one flag was broken. The greens and fairway were not damaged, he said.

The carts are being checked by a mechanic for damage, he said.
