FARMINGTON — Police said a Farmington man was arrested Friday on a felony charge of gross sexual assault involving an individual younger than 18.
Joshua Austin, 27, was familiar with the victim, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said Monday.
Police started investigating after they received a referral from the Department of Health and Human Services about mid-August. The incident apparently occurred in August, he said.
The investigation resulted in the charge and a warrant was issued for Austin’s arrest last week, Bowering said.
