A public Turkey Supper will take place Saturday, Oct. 4, 5 p.m. for the Smile Fund, the local denture program for adults in the SAD 44 region who are working or seeking work, at the West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel. The menu is turkey and all the fixings, homemade pies and homemade rolls for $10.

The Smile Fund was established 11 years ago by the church. The dental work is expensive and the fund is for helping those for whom financial resources are not available. The desire is to improve the quality of someone’s smile and with that their self-esteem, which can often lead to improved employment possibilities.

Please contact the church at 824-2689 or e-mail [email protected] for further information, or to submit an application. All applications are confidential. To date the Smile Fund has helped 64 people.
