Firefighters and Sparky the Dog from the Mexico Fire Department were at Meroby Elementary School last Thursday to teach students about
fire safety. Led by Firefighter Mike Chartier, topics discussed with third graders here included having a home fire evacuation plan, knowing your address in case of emergency, making sure the number on your home is prominently displayed, as well what gear a firefighter and a tour of the department’s newest fire engine.
