Michael Poulin of Lewiston and his wife, Sharon, second from right, reminisce over an old picture they found during the St. Joseph’s Church and Rectory Sale in Lewiston on Saturday. Items from the church and rectory went up for sale to raise money for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing and the Central Maine Medical Center Arbor House. Michael Poulin attended Mass at St. Joe’s when he was a young boy, and he and his family always sat on the left side of the church. Poulin’s grandmother died during Mass at St. Joe’s in 1941 while sitting on the right side, leaving sad memories for the Poulin family. Kathy Becvar, left, is the director of development at CMMC. Jeri Maurer, right, created the Arbor House 20 years ago so CMMC patients and their families would have a free place to stay during treatment.
