1937 – 2014

FARMINGTON — Gordon A. “Smokey” “Bub” Toothaker, 77, of Wilton died Saturday, Nov. 15, at Edgewood Rehabilitation Center in Farmington.

He was born on Feb. 27, 1937, in East Wilton, one of 12 children.

Smokey enjoyed instant lottery tickets, fishing, golfing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Terry Bailey of Vermont, Kevin Toothaker of Poland, Ken Toothaker and his wife, Joy, of Wilton, Kurt Toothaker of Farmington, Karen Toothaker of New Vineyard, Keith Toothaker and his wife, Toni, of Cumberland, Md., and Kim McCombs of Lewiston; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Toothaker; and two sisters, Glana Roberts and Gae Toothaker.

He was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters.
