FARMINGTON — Police said a Farmington woman, who first reported her prescription medication stolen, is accused of selling some of it.

Laura Elliott, 31, turned herself in to Officer Justin Blais at the Franklin County Detention Center on Wednesday, after he told her that he had a warrant for her arrest, Farmington police Deputy Chief Shane Cote said.

Elliott faces a felony charge of trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Elliott told police her medication was stolen Nov. 7, Cote said. During the investigation, Blais discovered information that indicated some of the drug had apparently been sold. The amount of drug was small and he would not say the type of drug.

Elliott remains at Franklin County Detention Center and was taken to court Friday morning, according to a jail officer.
