FARMINGTON — Holiday wreaths will be available during the Farmington Historical Society’s 10th Annual Wreath Sale.

The sale supports programs to preserve Farmington’s history.

The 22-inch, double-sided, balsam wreaths are locally made and decorated with a 6-loop bow, white-tipped pine cones and red berries. Bow colors include, red, country red and burgundy. Barn-size wreaths also are available.

Wreaths will be available at:

* Titcomb House, 118 Academy St., Saturday, Nov. 29

* Chester Greenwood Day, Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cost is $22 for regular size; $40 for the barn size. Shipping is available for $16.

Other events include open houses at the Titcomb House and The Octagon. Both homes will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. The Titcomb House museum, built circa 1846, houses thousands of Farmington historical artifacts and will be decorated by the Mt. Blue Garden Club. Admission is free. 

The Octagon will be open with refreshments and gifts and arrangements donated by local florists available through a silent auction.

Guy Rioux, a well-known narrow-gauge railroad author, will be present to sign his newest book, “The Franklin County Narrow Gauges, The Next Stop is Phillips.” Admission is $5 per person.
