TOPSHAM (AP) — Police have arrested an 18-year-old Topsham man on robbery charges and are looking for his twin brother.
Chief Christopher Lewis told the Times Record (http://bit.ly/1ATKPMS ) that Matthew Laurelez was arrested Saturday shortly after he and his brother allegedly pulled a gun and robbed a man they had arranged to meet at an athletic field in town.
He is being held on $25,000 cash bail on an armed robbery charge. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
Police say his twin brother, Alexander Laurelez, was also involved, but as of Tuesday had not been located.
Police say Alexander Laurelez had the gun while Matthew Laurelez had a weapon resembling a bat.
Matthew Laurelez’s girlfriend is also facing charges for allegedly threatening the victim via electronic message.
