Skee Spree benefits Ski Museum of Maine
NEWRY— The first Skee Spree will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at White Cap Base Lodge at Sunday River. The event will benefit the Ski Museum of Maine, 256 Main St., Kingfield.
From noon to 3:30 p.m. ski memorabilia will be on display. A fireside chat will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. A silent and live auction and reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

CPR, first aid class on Jan. 17
OXFORD — A CPR and first aid class will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Oxford Public Safety Building.
Instruction will include basic first aid, CPR for adults, children and infants and use of an automated external defibrillator.
On completion of the one-day class, a two-year certification in accordance with the American Heart Association will be given. The certification is accepted for day/childcare providers, loggers, guides, teachers and any other non-healthcare related professions.
Call to confirm the date. Groups may request to schedule a class at their convenience. Healthcare BLS CPR recertifications are done as needed one-on-one.
The next scheduled class will be Feb. 21.

VFW to hold breakfast on Jan. 18
HARRISON — The Ronald St. John VFW Post, 176 Waterford Road, will hold their popular breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18.
The breakfast features scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, home fries, bacon, sausage, gravy and biscuits, sweet breads, fruit cups, orange juice and beverage. Adults, $7 per person; children under 10, $3.
Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Jan. 9. A six-table Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Mike True (Auburn), second were Mike Newsom (South Paris) and Pete Cummings (South Paris) who also were first in flight B, third were Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Marta Clements (Woodstock), fourth were Bill Clifford Jr. (Lewiston) and Les Buzzell (Auburn).
Finishing second in flight B were Cynthia Clifford (Lewiston) and Claire Lyons (Lewiston), tied for third and fourth were Milt McKeen (Bridgton) and Jim Krainin (Naples) with Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris) who also were tied for first and second in flight C, third in C were Linda Goldsmith (Denmark) and Barbara Vanderzanden (Waterford), fourth were Diane and Jim Fallon (Bridgton).

Community lunch, book swap planned
OTISFIELD — A free (donations accepted) community lunch and book swap will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21. The Otisfield Community Hall has been reopened, so the event will be held there.
Renew old acquaintances, make new friends. The menu will be soup and sandwich, coffee, tea and cookies.

Rabies shots, microchipping offered
NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care will hold a rabies vaccination and microchipping clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Norway Fire Station.
Rabies shots will be $10 and microchipping $25. Microchipping your pets will aid in locating them if they become lost or should a disaster occur.
Attending veterinarian will be Dr. Suzanne Best, DVM.
