AUBURN — At least four people were taken to Lewiston hospitals Wednesday night after vehicles collided on Minot Avenue.

Witnesses said it appeared multiple vehicles were involved in the 6 p.m. wreck near the Washington Avenue rotary.

Early reports were that four people were taken to hospitals and that one of them had suffered what appeared to be serious injuries.

Traffic slowed to a crawl near the rotary as Auburn police, fire and rescue crews responded. Police were investigating the cause of the crash later Wednesday. The identities of those involved were not immediately available.
