FARMINGTON — Police said a Gorham man faces a charge of driving with an obstructed view for failing to clear ice from his car windshield and crashing into a truck Friday morning.

Alex Yankowsky, 20, was driving from Pleasant Street across Main Street to Anson Street when he failed to see a pickup truck traveling north on Main Street, Farmington police officer Ryan Rosie said. Yankowsky had not cleared ice from the windshield of his 2005 Honda Accord, he said.

The 2015 GMC Sierra truck was driven by Jeff Dobson of New Gloucester. Neither Dobson nor his wife, Celia, was injured, the officer said.

The impact swung the truck around and into a utility pole, cracking it. The truck had considerable damage. he said.

Collins Enterprises towed both vehicles, Rosie said.

The accident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. and members of Farmington Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
