Leavitt 63, Waterville 56
TURNER — After giving away a 10-point lead late in regulation, Leavitt held off Waterville in overtime for a 63-56 KVAC boys’ basketball win Friday night.
The Purple Panthers outscored the Hornets 15-5 in the fourth quarter to send it into overtime.
Isaiah Calder scored five of his 21 points in the extra frame to lead the Hornets (6-7). Korey Caito pitched in 17 points. Gabe Seeley had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Corey Huersano had 17 points for Waterville (2-11), while Adam Barre had 16. Nick Elias finished with 11.
Valley 50, Buckfield 43
BINGHAM — After trailing by four points at the half, Valley used a 15-7 third-quarter run to take control and held on to notch a 50-43 EWC boys’ basketball victory Friday over Buckfield.
Austin Cates led the Cavaliers (9-3) with 14 points and five steals, while Collin Miller tallied 12 points and Cody Laweryson added 11.
Hunter Wiley paced the Bucks (4-9) with 11 points.
Messalonskee 55, Oxford Hills 42
OAKLAND — Messalonskee erupted for a 24-6 rally in the second quarter and raced away to a 55-42 KVAC boys’ basketball win over Oxford Hills.
Nick Mayo led the Eagles (9-4) with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor Turner chipped in 10 points, while Nate Violette added nine.
Blake Slicer topped the Vikings (7-6) with 14 points. Andrew Fleming tallied 13, and Tyus Ripley added nine.
Forest Hills 64, Rangeley 35
JACKMAN — Senior center Tanner Daigle rifled off 27 points to lead Forest Hills to a 64-35 victory over Rangeley in EWC boys’ basketball Friday.
With size and experience in their favor, the Tigers jumped out to a 46-13 halftime lead. Matt Turner contributed 16 points on eight field goals for Forest Hills.
The Lakers (3-8) played even in the second half. Junior guard Timmy White and sophomore guard Devon Clark recorded 10 points each for Rangeley.
Edward Little 82, Skowhegan 38
AUBURN — Senior guard Ian Mileikis registered 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to lead Edward Little to a 82-38 victory over Skowhegan in KVAC boys’ basketball Friday.
The Indians (4-8) battled close in the first quarter, but the Red Eddies (12-0) opened up the contest with a 25-6 run in the second frame. Lew Jensen contributed 17 points for Edward Little.
Junior guard Isaac Witham posted 20 points for Skowhegan.
Gray-New Gloucester 62, Old Orchard Beach 45
GRAY — Senior guard Tyler St. Pierre notched a career-high 29 points to power Gray-New Gloucester to a 62-45 triumph over Old Orchard Beach in WMC boys’ basketball Friday.
The Patriots (6-6) were trailing by two at the half before they broke away in the third quarter. Zack Haskell posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Andrew Kariotis contributed 13 points for Gray-New Gloucester.
Guard Evan Christiansen provided a team-high 11 points for the Seagulls (5-5).
