BANGOR — The Maine Rural Water Association’s 28th annual Drinking Water Taste Test was held Dec. 11.

The best tasting water in the non-disinfected class was awarded to Point Sebago, the water system that held the 2013 top honor of Best Tasting Water.

Best tasting water in the disinfected class was awarded to the Bangor Water District.

The bragging rights of Maine’s Best Tasting Water goes to Bangor Water District in the intense competition between the two samples. The Bangor Water District will send a sample to participate in the National Rural Water Association’s Water Rally in February.
