This letter is in response to Todd Gaudette’s letter, published Sept. 17, 2014, where he insinuated, after two regular season games, that the New England Patriots should be turning to Jimmy Garoppolo, due to Tom Brady’s act getting old and that “Due to lack of pass protection and his age, Brady may be gone as quickly as he came on the scene 13 years ago.”

He further stated that he thought Bill Belichick would not be far behind (apparently being let go/fired).

In addition, Gaudette stated that he would pen another letter to the editor after the Pats’ upcoming 8-8 season. Finally, he stated “Sorry, Pats fans. No playoffs this year.”

I look forward to Gaudette’s follow-up letter. It should contain a large helping of “humble pie.”
