FARMINGTON — The Western Region of the Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community announces its schedule of career planning and small business planning courses for late January and February 2015.

Preregistration is required for all workshops, which are free and open to men and women.

Regional manager Janet Smith will be the instructor for Maintaining Self Confidence during the Job Search and Career Change. It’s a three-session class held from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 and 9. Classes will be held at the MCWWC office at 108 Perham St., Farmington. Karleen Andrews, former manager of Titcomb Mountain in West Farmington, will conduct a couple of business planning workshops in the Farmington area in February. The first is a workshop, Introduction to Self-Employment, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the Women, Work and Community office, 108 Perham St., Farmington.

Andrews will also lead a class, Business Basics, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Feb. 23 and March 2 and 9. To register, contact Andrews at [email protected], or call her at (207) 557-1885.

Women, Work, and Community is also offering an online class, Career Planning. Internet access is required. Registration deadline is Feb. 11. The class runs from March 4 to April 15. To register, contact Cathy Collins at 753-6622 or [email protected].
