RANGELEY — Following an executive session Monday, selectmen announced the appointment of fire Chief Tim Pellerin as interim town manager.
He will serve while Town Manager Tiki White is on maternity leave.
Because of the snowstorm, a previously announced workshop to discuss implementation and funding of the town park master plan was canceled.
Selectmen also unanimously appointed four nominees to the Ordinance Committee: David James, Selectman Donald Nuttall, Municipal Clerk Ethna Thompson and Selectman Robert Welch.
The board voted to maintain the Grade 2 driver/operator position for snowplows and other heavy equipment. The opening for the position will be posted publicly.
The town’s Ford F250 truck, which had been designated as surplus and put out to bid, has been purchased by Saddleback Maine ski area for $8,275.
A public request for proposals to choose a town assessor is scheduled to go out Tuesday; bids are due by Feb. 27 and will be opened at the March 2 meeting. The process to choose an assessor takes place every three to five years.
