LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Farmers Union will hold an informational meeting for prospective vendors — farmers, fishermen and crafters — interested in locating  at the new Marketplace that is set to open in the spring.

The informational meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the MTM Rec Center in Lisbon Falls.

The Lisbon Farmers Union will host a free farmers market every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hoping to attract farmers from around the state, the Farmers Union will allow vendors to sell at the Marketplace on Sundays free of charge.

The Marketplace building is a replica of an 1820s Maine barn with hand-hewn timbers on Route 196 in Lisbon Falls. It will be open seven days a week. All products and produce must come from the local region.
