RUMFORD — Black Mountain will host its second annual Winter Fun Day on Saturday, March 7, with a portion of the funds going to Rumford Community Hospital for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing.
The event began in 2014, after Black Mountain decided to host a fundraiser for another organization.
Deanna Kersey, marketing director for Black Mountain, said registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. or can be done on the Black Mountain website.
“The all-day pass is $35, which will give skiers access to Alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, tubing, a commemorative pass, a bagged lunch and a Winter Fun Day T-shirt,” Kersey said. The T-shirts will be for the first 100 entrants.
Kersey said there will be live music, guided Nordic tours and a silent auction.
Skiers do not have to buy a Winter Fun Day pass to gain entrance to the resort, Kersey said.
“People can either purchase the all-day fun pass, or purchase a regular ski pass on that day,” Kersey said.
A raffle will include a Black Mountain season pass and a groomer ride.
“We’re also going to have Allagash Brewery on site,” Kersey said.
