L/A Arts is pleased to announce that Gregory K Waters’ work is now on display in the Art & Ale window at Gritty’s, Main St., 68 Auburn. Waters  is painter and sculptor from Lisbon Falls. His most used media for canvas wrapped paintings are acrylic, oil and charcoal, while occasionally enjoying watercolor and pastels. His works may be seen in various galleries including the Maine Art Glass Studio and Miller’s Variety, both in Lisbon Falls, as well as the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport. L/A Arts has featured Mr. Waters’ paintings for the past five years at the Gritty’s Art and Ale Exhibit in Auburn.

Just recently, Waters began carving wood sculptures with a chainsaw. He has been working on bears, eagles, and owls. His shop is located at JD Wood Carving in Lisbon Falls on Rte. 196 but also works from home during winter months.

Nature and wildlife are the main inspiration for Waters’ artwork. Using both realism and surrealism allows him to capture the exact look intended for each piece.
