CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Sales last year by Sugarloaf’s official real estate agency were up 17 percent over the previous year, according to the agency.

Mountainside Real Estate closed on 95 transactions in 2014, with a total sales volume of more than $12.3 million, the agency said in a news release, noting that a total of 146 real estate transactions took place in Carrabassett Valley last year.

The agency said 2015 is off to a good start.

“We expect 2015 to be even better,” Sam Punderson, an agent with Mountainside who handles marketing, said in the statement. “January is already off to a strong start with more than $2 million in pending sales as of Jan. 31.”
