ATHENS — The owner of a propane company has died after the delivery truck he was driving hit a frost heave and overturned in Athens.

Authorities say 62-year-old Gary Russell was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday afternoon.

Centralmaine.com reports that Russell, who owned GR & Son Propane & Service in Cornville, was making a delivery when he hit a frost heave and lost control of the truck.

Authorities say it didn’t appear that any propane was spilled in the crash.
