SOUTH PARIS – The circus is coming to town on April 4.
Jugglers, elephants, penguins, hoop dancers, tigers, lions, vaudevillians, clowns, giant puppets, stilt walkers and many other zany performers are coming from far and wide for the 4th Annual Circus Olé and Feast of Fools. For one night only, the Community Forum at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris will become a crazy one-ring circus produced by Rijah Newell.
This animal-free extravaganza showcases a spectacle of performers while proving a circus does not need live animals to thrill and entertain. All “live” animals are giant theatrical puppets created by Trash Into Art – a community collective founded by Newell that uses recycled materials to build puppets and street theater to illuminate social and environmental issues.
Tickets are available in advance for $10 for adults $5 for children 12 and under at www.circus-ole.com.
Tickets will be on sale on the website and at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on the night of the show.
For more information go to www.circus-ole.com, or contact Ringmaster Rijah Newell at [email protected] or call 207-890-0545.
