EUSTIS — Voters at the annual town meeting Saturday will consider a budget of $1 million. The meeting will open at 9 a.m. March 7 at the Community Building.
The warrant includes 25 articles, some of which increase the budget by $60,000 over last year, Town Clerk Kathy Fearon said.
Elections will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the Town Office.
All candidates are running unopposed.
Seeking a selectman seat are: Stephan St. Jean, three years; Daphne Harp and Brandi Farnsworth, two years; and James Brochu, one year.
Flagstaff Regional School Board directors Susan Fotter and David Richards are seeking re-election for three-year terms and Casey Cote seeks a one-year term.
Voters will consider raising $50,000 for the Fire Department equipment reserve account. A sum of $25,000 was raised last year. The department is preparing to purchase a new truck, Deputy Clerk Lori LeMont said.
A plowing contract results in a winter road budget request of $165,000 compared to the $110,000 voted on last year, she said.
Voters also will be asked to appropriate $97,169.90 from surplus to cover a 2014 overdraft.
Other articles seek $2,000 for repairing cemetery stones and $2,500 for a hiking trail from Kingfield to the Canadian border.
