BATH — The celtic, roots-rock music of Enter the Haggis has been an audience favorite at the Chocolate Church Arts Center for years. On March 13, Jubilee Riot, formerly Enter The Haggis, returns to the main stage for an exclusive performance before St. Patrick’s Day.
The band has recorded seven studio albums as Enter, touring internationally, landing high-profile gigs on “Live with Regis and Kelly” and A&E’s “Breakfast with the Arts,” as well as being the feature of a concert/documentary on PBS.
It’s musical sound lies somewhere between the fiercely creative and contemporary soundscapes of Radiohead and the heartfelt storytelling and infectious grooves of The Band. But it is a uncompromising commitment to music and the fans that has seen the band garner top ten charting positions on Billboard, Amazon and iTunes.
Over the years, the band has meticulously crafted a distinct sound, transforming its original Celtic-jam into something diverse and multifaceted and unique. The name Jubilee Riots was chosen, paying homage to its hometown, Toronto.
The concert will include favorite Enter The Haggis music and build on the legacy. With a new album and new name the band has an extensive tour lined up taking it through Canada, the U.S. and to Europe.
The Jubilee Riot/Enter the Haggis concert, sponsored by Seaflower Garden and Design and Spencer Gray Insurance, begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $26 advance; $30 door and available www.chocolatechurcharts.org or by calling the box office, 207-442-8455. The Chocolate Church Arts Center is located at 804 Washington St., Bath.
