SUMNER — On Friday, March 20, in keeping with Hartford-Sumner Elementary School students’ study of “The Fabulous ’50’s” “The Golden Oldies High Ryder Show” will play a free concert in the school gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.
An open house will begin at 5 p.m. to display student work about life in America in the 1950s and a potluck dinner is open to the public at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
The High Ryder Golden Oldies Show is a five-piece band based out of Portland that performs the classic hits of the ’50s and ’60s. The band has been performing throughout the Northeast since 1966.
Formed 45 years ago by lead singer and drummer Vincent Bruni, the current ensemble has been performing together for the past 22 years.Members of band include: Vinnie on the drums, Tim on the bass guitar, Big Al on the keys, Nelson on the guitar, and George on the sax.
