‘Cathedral Pines,’ by John Orcutt is among the photographs currently on display at The Schoolhouse Gallery in Kingfield as part of an exhibit titled “Fresh Snow and River Smoke” featuring the most recent nature photography of Orcutt and Cam Held. These images showcase the subtle color and ethereal beauty that only this winter season can offer; from early morning steam rising off the Carrabassett River on a -20 degree day to a fresh dusting of snow blanketing evergreen boughs deep in a Maine forest. This show will be in the Schoolhouse Gallery, located at 266 Main St., in Kingfield Village through April. Also on display currently are other photographs by Orcutt and Cam , paintings by Valerie Aponik, as well as other art and crafts from the high peaks region of Maine. For more information, please call Cynthia Orcutt at 207-939 6518, email [email protected] or visit www.schoolhouseartgallery.com.
